in general: y = mx + b, where m is the slope
the slope, therefore, is the # being multiplied to x

so in E(x) = 7x - 25, the slope is 7
since 7 is being multiplied to x, and x is the number of doors she knocks on, what do you think 7 could mean? remember that E(X) represents total earnings.
