Brittany Taylor’s Letter to the Editor, “I, Too, Have a Dream”

Thesis Statement: The author of the letter uses the famous "I Have a Dream" speech by Dr Martin Luther King in the structure of the essay in order to demonstrate the similarity between the two situations.

Directions: Write a topic sentence for each body paragraph. (One body paragraph should focus on the author’s use of structure and one body paragraph should focus on the author’s use of language.) Topic Sentence: The author of this letter Brittany Taylor utilizes figurative language, for example, metaphorical language to explain the feelings of her friend and also to tell the crowd why DACA shouldn't be shutdown.
