cmayer:

Choose the equation that represents the line that passes through the point (−1, 6) and has a slope of −3. y = −3x + 3 y = −3x − 6 y = 3x − 3 y = 3x − 1

cmayer:

pls help me

Mercury:

in y = mx + b form, m is the slope. therefore, for a slope of -3, your equation should have -3 before the x-value when written in y = mx + b form. that narrows us down to choices A+B. it also tells us that the line passes through (−1, 6), so (-1,6) is a solution to the equation. plug in x = -1 and y = 6 into equation A, and see if both sides are equal. if yes, that's your solution, if not, repeat the same process with B.
