Because there are six books, at $8 each, you first have to multiply 6 * $8 to find the total cost before the discount Second, the discount is 20%. However, it's asking for the price after the discount, which means you'll have to multiply by 100% - 20% = 80%, not 20%, to find the final, discounted price. *edited to correct a typo*
