What would most likely happen to a person who is not getting enough essential amino acids in his or her diet? The body would synthesize the amino acids. Muscle tissue would break down to supply amino acids. There would be no measurable effect. Protein stores would break down to release amino acids.

thoughts on this one? off the bat you could eliminate C (you need amino acids to carry out basic biological functions, so there would be *some* effect). between synthesizing amino acids, breaking down muscle, and breaking down proteins, which one do you think is the body's first strategy against protein deficiencies?
