reposted the answer choices here, so they're a little easier to understand: - magnets attract all materials - not all materials are attracted to iron pieces - some materials are repelled by iron pieces - magnets attract only some materials key sentences from the question: "The bar magnet was placed inside the bowl for some time and then taken out. Several iron nails were stuck on the bar magnet." so the bar magnet attracts the iron nails at least. iron is a metal. what about the behavior of the other objects in the experiment (plastic, wood, and paper)? what does this tell you about the ability of magnets to attract or not attract materials?
