Identify the monomial function(s) that have a minimum.

Vocaloid:

y = 5x y = x^3 y = –2x^6 y = 4x^4 y = 3x^2 y = 2x^6 I believe these are the answer choices?

Vocaloid:

In order to have an (absolute) minimum, the function must increase to infinity in both the positive and negative x directions. in order to do that, the degree (highest exponent) must be even (if it's odd, the ends will go in opposite directions) and the leading coefficient must be positive (if not, you'll have a maximum not a minimum)
