gfg:

explain the difference between indirect and direct characterization and provide one example of each.

Salmon:

@Razor

Razor:

Tell me in your own words what both of these mean.

gfg:

Direct characterization is a method of indicating what a character is like by directly stating their personality traits. Characterization is the process of making a character (usually a fictional one but not always) seem like a fully fledged person by providing details about their personality.

gfg:

Indirect characterization is a method of indicating what a character is like by revealing their personality through descriptions of their actions, speech, appearance, and interactions with other characters.

Razor:

Alright, you've got the definitions. Now give me your BEST example <3

gfg:

i dont understand

Razor:

Well here, if you're directly tallking about someones personality, it means you have the intention to do so. If you were indirectly talking about someones personality through the way the spoke or by mocking them, telling other people what they've done, those are indirect charecterization.
