The high temperature on Friday was 8 degrees above zero. The low temperature was 3 degrees below zero. Which expression gives the average of the low and high temperatures?

one way i would use is to add up 8 and -3 then divide that quotient by 2. after you divide that you should get 2.5 as the average of the high and low temperatures
