What experiment would you conduct on Mars?
See if a human can climb Olympus Mons, the tallest volcano in the solar system.
Could also try and prove the validity of the movie 'The Marian,' by attempting to survive off of those same means.
I would see weather or not potatoes can grow on mars because potatoes can withstand cold better than a lot of other plants
What would be your independent, dependent, and control variables? I want to know what you're trying to control, measure, and what just happened that you didn't think would happen.
You could also do an innumerable amount of studies analyzing the effects of being on another planet than of your own species. Would it affect sleep patterns? Dreams? Would humans become more social knowing that they are truly all that's nearby.
I never thought about how space affects our dreams, my goodness
I WOULD SEE IF HUMAN PPL CAN HIM DER @Razor
?
growing potatoes
How much I could eat Because, simply put, I like food.
lol
I'd like to see how it feels like to eat on another planet. :)
Hmmm....
You have fun with that. I'm gonna sample Shadow's ideas
Yes, I very much will enjoy. Will pack hot dogs.

heje
having a baby on mars
and making him think i am god

or murdering someone i mean how cool would it be to tell god yeah man i died on mars
ummm weird but ok>>>

WAIT NO SHADOW
PLEASE MAN I REPENT
For the variables let me just define them for the post, DV: what's being measured IV: what's influencing the measurement (direct influence on the DV) CV: Similar to an IV it remains constant but it's not what's being directly analyzed An example of this would be testing the effects of Redbull on energy levels. What's being measured? Energy levels, aka the DV. What's purportedly going to influence/not influence the DV? Redbull. Control variables in this situation could be sleeping in the same house, for the same hours, same breakfast, etc. Control variables help to insure that you're best seeing the influence of the IV on the DV. So in this experiment you'd have a group of people drink Redbull then report if their energy levels were higher. You'd ask them before and after. Now relating this to the context of this question, you could observe people dreaming/sleeping on Mars and Earth, and see if this might impact them. CV could be the same amount of sleep, diet, etc. IV would be the planet, and DV being sleep patterns and/or dream cycles.
Now a lot of things might influence the DV in that situation. So you would need some strong controls if say you just want to see the psychological impact of being on a different planet. You'd have both participants sleep in identical rooms, maybe hear the same voice communicate to them, etc.
what about pooping
That's a good point. What if they poop at different times? Would if someone is a bed wetter? Differences in biology and psychological makeup can impact how the IV influences the DV. That's why in experiments these things are controlled for as much as possible, as they are CVs in a way. You filter out bed wetters, and try and have the participants be as biologically comparable as possible, maybe even twins. Science loves twins.
what about doing the secks
or what about mass genocide
Because of the gravity would it be difficult to even commit a mass genocide? Or am I wrong
or what about feet do they taste better on mars or earth???????
are you able to play among us in mars guys?????
You are right your taste buds could be affected by the harsh enviornment of mars
are monke videos funnier on mars then????????
