well, whatever he bought, the 25% discount would come off of it, so lets say he bought something for $100, if he had a 25% coupon, it would reduce the price to $75 before tax, but tax is 7%, so to find the discounted price after tax you would do 75 x.07 which gives you 5.25, so you add that to your 75, which makes the discounted total after tax $80.25
