ZSkrepenski:

Given the trinomial 2x2 + 4x + 4, predict the type of solutions. Two rational solutions One rational solution Two irrational solutions Two complex solutions

jhonyy9:

how you think ? 2x^2 +4x +4 = 0 like a first step what you see - what can you factorizing out from these terms of equation ? what is the common term there ?

snowflake0531:

The fundamental theorem of algebra says that the power of the polynomial is the number of roots it'll have, so you can cross off b for this Also, you can use \(b^2-4ac\) if it is equal to 0, you have 1 solution, if you have more than 0, you have 2 real solutions, if it's less than 0, you have 2 complex solutions So what choice is it?
