Cassan123:

A parachutist's rate during a free fall reaches 135 miles per hour. What this rate feet per second? At this rate, how many feet will the parachutist fall during 5 seconds of tree fallIn your computations, use the fact that mile is equal to 5280 feet. Do not round your answers

MiraAngel:

First question: So since it is 135 miles per HOUR, you would take that and divide it by 60... which would give you minutes. Then you would divide that by 60, which would give you seconds! :)

MiraAngel:

Actually, I'm not sure that is right. lol I'll link someone so they can help you. There are too many parts in this for me to figure out rn. lol

@Shadow

@Aqual

Aqual:

So first you want to multiply 5280 by 135 to get feet per hour

Aqual:

now you want to divide that number by 60 to get feet per minute

Aqual:

next divide that number by 60 to get feet per second

Aqual:

and then multiply this number by 5 to get feet fallen after 5 seconds.
