you'll use the pythagorean theorem a^2 + b^2 = c^2, where a and b are the legs, and c is the hypotenuse in your case, your legs are 33 and 56, and your hypotenuse is x so plugging the numbers in, 33^2 + 56^2 = x^2, solve for x. however, since it also wants the answer in simplified radical form, make sure to check your radicand to see if you can move any perfect square to the outside of the radical.
