9.875.821 divided bye 93

Shadow:

Don't make math political. Enough is politicized out there xD

Shadow:

I'll change the subject to Mathematics.

jjakiah:

thank u

Shadow:

Are those commas or decimal points, because you can't have two decimal points.

jjakiah:

camas

Shadow:

That's a huge number. Are you supposed to do this by hand?

Shadow:

Because I'd just throw this into a calculator or Wolfram.

jjakiah:

ya bye hand

Shadow:

You poor soul

jjakiah:

ya

jjakiah:

it is so confusing

Shadow:

Here you basically need to 'guesstimate' so 821 is a decent number. You can try and throw 93 into it and see what comes out. This process is slightly different based off of how familiar you are with numbers. For example you can round 821 to 800 and 90 to 100, and say it can go in at least 8 times with some reasonable certainty. Then you can check that by multiply 8 by 93 -> 744 and see that another 93 can probably fit in there. Or you can see that 821 is 82.1 when you divide by 100. Then you can see that 9 can go into 81 9 times, so 9 would be a good guess.

Shadow:

This is basically the process that happens. Do you know how to setup long division though?
