Belinda’s mother took the family out to dinner. The food bill came to $72.00. The sales tax is 6% of the cost of food. As a tip, Belinda’s mother left 20% of the original food bill. What was her total cost?

Mercury:

normally you *can't* just add percentages like this, but since both percentages are taken with respect to the original bill, the amount added to the bill ends up being 20% + 6% = 26% of the original bill as a decimal, this is 0.26 * the original bill calculate this then add this onto the original bill
