I do, let me work it out real quick

The first thing i did was add 3x to both sides. That would get rid of the -3x on the left. Then I added 5 to both sides, that would get rid of the -5.

After that, you're left with 40=8x

Then you would divide both sides by 8 to get x by itself and to get your answer
