alexisHales:

How do mitosis and meiosis differ in the division of genetic composition? Mitosis produces two genetically different daughter cells but meiosis produces four genetically identical daughter cells. Mitosis produces two genetically identical daughter cells but meiosis produces four genetically different daughter cells. Isry:

What do you know of mitosis and meiosis?

alexisHales:

literally nothing

Buenos88:

number 2

alexisHales:

i've been cheating all this semester

alexisHales:

:)

Isry:

Alright let’s start with the basics then. Mitosis is the splitting of cells into two genetically identical cells.

alexisHales:

so A or B

Isry:

So we’ve narrowed it down. Now meiosis also has to do with reproduction, but the question is whether or not it’s identical reproduction or different reproduction.

Buenos88:

Meiosis is sex.ually reproduced. While mitosis is body cells.

Buenos88:

You will not want all your body cells to be different. But with meiosis, there is a female and male that produce those cells, but they are all different because we are all different/ our parents gave us different things.

alexisHales:

so B :D

Buenos88:

yes.
