Determine which function has a greater rate and explain how you know.

Function 1: y = 2 • 0.2x

Function 2:

1 0.8
2 0.64
3 0.512

One way to figure this out is to put numbers for x for function 1.
For example, y=2*0.2(1) which equals .4
Then try it again but with 2 for x
y=2*0.2(2) which equals .8
From these two numbers you can see that the y is increasing more in function 1 than it is in function 2
