HuntAa001:

Two companies in town sell gravel. Company A sells it for 11 cents a cubic foot. Company B sells it for 3 dollars a cubic yard. If you need 20 cubic yards of gravel, where should you buy it? How much money will you save?

AngeI:

Hello, welcome to QuestionCove c: So 27 cubic foot is equal to one cubic yard. To get the price per cubic yard for company A (since you need 20 cubic yards) you would have to multiply .11 by 27 which gets you $2.97 per cubic yard for company A. Which company has the better deal? As for "how much money will you save" to do that you would have to multiply both 2.97 by 20 and 3 by 20. Then subtract the lesser number from the greater one
