Identify the figurative language used in these stanzas of Amy Lowell's "In Excelsis." Write a paragraph of at least 5 sentences in which you identify at least 3 examples of figurative language in the poem and explain how those examples convey meaning in the poem. (20 points) You—you— Your shadow is sunlight on a plate of silver; Your footsteps, the seeding-place of lilies; Your hands moving, a chime of bells across a windless air. The movement of your hands is the long, golden running of light from a rising sun; It is the hopping of birds upon a garden-path.
Alright figurative language is an ordinary sentence to refer to something without directly stating it,like metaphors to be honest
So to write your paragraph u would want to look for the metaphors to be honest, for example "Your shadow is sunlight on a plate of silver;"
i got it i just honestly didnt wanna do the thinking lol :/ this site seems pretty cool though. Thanks! :)
