Can this feature be added? Not being able to post on a closed question. That's where majority of my notifs come from, and I keep asking to stop posting on it...but they keep posting. This will really cut down on the amount of notifs someone receives if they answer a question and it gets closed.
i agree
i mean there is a place to post suggestions
please, me and mudd were trying to stop the chat, and they just kept posting, the only thing that stopped them was when i asked dude to step in.
I have the notifs turned off for replies, but I keep getting the notifs on here *no sound and/or notif on the app*
@dude @Ultrilliam Sorry for pinging you, but mudd makes a great point.
i feel like yall should see this
I'm going to close this and send the suggestion thingy
Hmm if someone wanted to follow up on something it would be helpful to get a notif I definitely agree on some form of opting out of notifications though. Requested an "unsubscribe from post" feature but Ultri said its not a prio <_<
@dude, i put something on shadows announcement, will you look at it and tell me if its a good idea?
It's not that it's not a priority but that it requires me to completely Reprogram how notifications work
\(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{Originally Posted by}}\) Ultrilliam It's not that it's not a priority but that it requires me to completely Reprogram how notifications work \(\color{#0cbb34}{\text{End of Quote}}\) That's why it isn't a prio? You'll have to recode it all. I thought it was in a seperate code passage for that
I wish. Id have to completely redo notifications and that would be quite an undertaking
Okay. I didn't know it needed that much work for that little system. I didn't know it required all the code
"little"... Hah. The most code for any single component of QC is notifications by at least 5x
Holy crap. I wonder how much code it is for simple things for QC. And I also wonder how long it took to code it all together
The second biggest component is moderation, then questions, followed by groups. The rest is a bunch of small things here and there
That's cool. How much coding does it take to make someone a moderator?
To make someone a mod? Just a switch I set to 1 in the db
But the code to make moderation work is probably 400-600 lines
Holy crap. Does someone get emailed or something when they become a moderator or ambassador? Or do they find out when the next log on
LOL, they are talked to and trained long before they even get it
Oh cool. I was just curious about that. Thank you for the info Ultri
