Someone1:

The graphs of f(x) and g(x) are shown below: Graph of function f of x open upward and has its vertex at negative 7, 0. Graph of function g of x opens upward and has its vertex at negative 7, negative 2. If f(x) = (x + 7)2, which of the following is g(x), based on the translation?

Someone1:

mxddi3:

aren't the parabolas labeled in the image?

Someone1:

ion know

mxddi3:

well, since you said g(x) opens upward and has its vertex at negative 7, negative 2, i'm guessing it's the outer parabola, but the image has them labeled for you

mxddi3:

oo yh it is b/c if you look at the image, the outer parabola has the middle point (vertex) at the point (-7,-2) do you see what i'm talking about?

Someone1:

yea i do thx

mxddi3:

ofc!
