Please do not copy-paste my repsonse. the initial value is the y-value when the x-value is 0. so you'd have to find the equation of the line that crosses both (3, 42.25) and (5, 50.75). to do this, use the slope formula to find the slope, m. then you can use the point-slope formula, plug in the slope + one of the points, to generate the full equation. finally, plug in x = 0 and solve for the initial value.
