Read the excerpt from "Homesickness" 'What will you tell the school?' I asked him, trembling. 'I'll say you had a very severe infection of the stomach which I am curing with pills,' he answered smiling. 'It will mean that you must stay home for three more days. But promise me you won't try anything like this again. Your mother has enough on her hands without having to rush over to fetch you out of school.' What does the author express about the doctor through the details in this excerpt? The doctor thinks the narrator is actually sick. The doctor misses his own family as well. The doctor is angry at the narrator for faking his illness. The doctor understands how the narrator is feeling.

Ok useing this " I am curing with pills,' he answered smiling. 'It will mean that you must stay home for three more days. But promise me you won't try anything like this again."

Hoodmemes:

A answer to eleminate is "the doctor is angry at the narrator for faking his illness"

dolphincove21:

ok thanks

Hoodmemes:

another answer to eleminate is the doctor misses his family,bc no where in the passage does it indicates the doctor missing nor talking about his family

Hoodmemes:

So that would leave the doctor thinks the narrator is sick and the doctor understands how the narrator feels

Hoodmemes:

Now what do u think your final answer would be?

dolphincove21:

i think it would be the last one maybe

Hoodmemes:

why do u think it is the last one?

dolphincove21:

bc of how i explained it

dolphincove21:
