the secant of four times an angle equals four times the secant of the angle.
true or false
Can you please provide the answer choices or anything else that goes with this?
The op has already stated that it’s a true false question. So the question is asking whether 4sec(theta) = sec(4theta)
In general, you cannot pull coefficients outside of trig functions If you wanted to prove this, you could use the secant and tan double angle and half angle formulas to rewrite sec(4theta) in terms of sec(theta)
\[\sec(2\theta) = \frac{ \sec^2 (\theta) }{ 2 - \sec^2 (\theta) }\]
using this formula you can write sec(4theta) in the form of sec(2(2theta)) so in this case how will get the above wrote formula ? please collaborate
@Vocaloid this may be the right way ? ty.
I think you’re on the right track I’m at work rn but I can try to do a more in-depth proof later this weekend
ok thank you
