so just you need to know how assume or subtract fractions with the same denominator hope you know just one example \[\frac{ 1 }{ 2 } + \frac{ 3 }{ 2} = \frac{ (1 + 3 ) }{ 2 } = \frac{ 4 }{ 2 } = 2\] and subtraction \[\frac{ 3 }{ 4 } - \frac{ 1 }{ 4 } = \frac{(3 - 1 ) }{ 4} = \frac{ 2 }{ 4 } = \frac{ 1 }{ 2 }\] ATTENTION !!! - with this minus in front of the parentheses !!! what make with this minus inside parentheses ??? hope helped understandably
