Wolves are an important part of the ecosystem and have a large role in the food chain. Although they eat lots of smaller animals, they also get eaten by bigger animals. Taking species out of ecosystems is wrong because the balance of the food chain will be knocked off and there will be an over achieving amount of certain animals and a dangerously small amount of others.
