In contrasting the Articles of Confederation to the Constitution... Question 2 options: The Articles of Confederation provided for a weaker federal government The Articles of Confederation provided for a stronger federal government The Articles of Confederation supported a tri-cameral legislative branch The Articles of Confederation helped the US through the American Civil War
hi, welcome to QuestionCove :) The Articles of Confederation failed because they did not allow the federal government to draft troops, levy taxes to repay the country's debts, or regulate commerce. based on this, which do you think could be the correct answer?
option 2
if the federal government provided a stronger federal government than the constitution, it would not have failed and we would not have needed to make the Constitution. Since the Articles failed, we wrote the Constitution to try and make something BETTER. if we need a government better than that of the Articles, what does that tell you about the government we had under that? try again
option 3?
wow thank you sm!!!

ok so how did you get the answer?
the A of C said the legislature would be unicameral and have one vote and to get the answer you read what i said. The A of C FAILED because they did not grant the federal government enough power to govern the nation effectively. the gov't wasn't strong enough to govern the people the way they needed, the way the CONSTITUTION governs us now.
does that mean its A?
mhmm. do you get why it is A?
