BernisVerzo:

A doctor's fee is based on the length of his service time. Up to 6 minutes costs $50; Over 6 and up to 15 minutes costs $80; Over 15 minutes costs $80 plus $5 per minute above 15 minutes. Find the fee if you visit for 6 minutes. How about if you visit for 17 minutes?

Mercury:

look at his service list, identify which rule you should use depending on the time, and then see what the fee is for 6 minutes, notice how it says "up to 6 minutes costs $50", so 6 minutes exactly would be $50. repeat this logic with 17 minutes.
