Question

Oasis Cruise Lines Ship is sailing in the beautiful Caribbean. The ship becomes disabled at sea due to a fire in the engine room that knocks out the operating systems on the ship. Passengers had to go without the following for 3 days at sea: No Food, No Electricity, No Flushing Toilets.

3,300 passengers had to eat spam, canned food, and pop tarts flown in by Navy Helicopters as the ship was towed to safety.

As President of Oasis cruise lines your job is to communicate to the public what has happened on the ship and your plan to get the guests home as quickly and safely as possible.

i would tell them " sorry for this interupation please don't be alamred by the smoke or anything from the engine room, there was a fire started in the engine room and we have everything undercontrol. we have contacted the navy and they are going to bring us some food and they will tow us to safety, now ladies and gentlemen if you have any questions please ask the staff and don't go over you're own power and may you please stay calm and safe along with following the rules. we will be at land shortly , thank you for you're understanding and cooperation"

I would tell the public... "There has been an event on the ship that has left it disabled. please do not be alarmed, supplies are being brought aboard to the passengers. We are contacting help as soon as we can. I will be sending another ship their way to get the passengers home, safe. All of the passengers are safe and well. They will be home soon." I would send down different ships or boats to bring more supplies and pick up passengers to take them safely to land...

I don't know if you are talking to the people on land who have family members on the ship? or people on the ship who may be freaking out.... I went with the family members on the ship point of view.
