Welcome to QuestionCove!! To solve this, we are going to use the Pythagorean Theorem:\[a^2+b^2=c^2\] We are given that one leg is 18, and the hypotenuse is 75. so we would write this put as: \[18^2+b^2=75^2\] now, we are going to square our numbers. so 18^2 is 324 75^2 is 5625. now, we have \[324+b^2=5625\] the next step is going to be to get the b^2 on a side by itself. To do so, we are going to subtract 324 from both sides. \[324+b^2-324=5625-324\] this will leave us with \[b^2=5301\] now,can you find the square root of 5301 ?
