How did relations between ethnic groups living in and coming to the United States change between 1865 and 1930?

Isry:

Is this question asking about relationships between the immigrants that had previously moved to the US and the immigrants currently coming to America?

lowkey:

I have no idea lol I already finished it, talked about immigrants and african american treatment

Isry:

In the 1860's Irish immigrants caused one of the largest and nastiest riots in American history. They were not thrilled about being drafted to fight for a country they just came to and they were especially not thrilled that the rich could buy their way out of the draft. They started rioting in New York City and at first were going after the rich of the city. Then because they believed that the black Americans were responsible for the Civil War they started attacking them. They beat and killed many black Americans and eventually burned down a black orphanage. This went on until the Union detached a battalion and shot the rioters with naval guns. This illustrates the strained relationships many ethnic immigrants had with black Americans.
