In a survey conducted by a retail store, 58% of the sample respondents said they prefer to shop at places with loyalty cards. If the margin of error is 3.4%, the expected population proportion that prefers to shop at places with loyalty cards is between _____% and ______%.

@MiraAngel

MiraAngel:

I believe you would subtract/add 3.4% from both sides of 58% but I'm not sure, like add .034 to the 0 side of 58% so that would just be 3.4% and then subtract .034 from .58, which would be .546. I'm not completely sure tho. I would add a smarter, mod person on here, if you can. My answer would be 3.4% and 54.6% What do you think?

cpl106:

ty i just couldnt figure it out but that makes since

MiraAngel:

Okay! Let me know how it goes!

cpl106:
