The Thundering Herd, an amusement park ride, is not open to patrons less than 54" tall. If the mean height of park patrons is 68" with a standard deviation of 12 inches, what percent of the patrons will not be able to use this ride?

Mercury:

calculate the z-score for the value of 54 inches z-score formula: \[z = \frac{ x-μ }{ σ }\] where x is the value being tested (54 inches), μ is the mean (68 inches) and σ is the standard deviation (12 inches) after you evaluate z, find the corresponding probability using either a z-table or a calculator
