shineeee18:

what are the advantages and disadvantages of having or promoting a certain ideology

Hoodmemes:

What do u already know about Ideology?

umm:

Here's the definition of ideology: An ideology is a collection of ideas or beliefs shared by a group of people. It may be a connected set of ideas, or a style of thought, or a world-view.

imqwerty:

Think of your brain as a \(\bf{knowledge~ base}\) where you store information. You use the information stored in your knowledge base to draw \(\bf{inferences}\) for any given \(\bf{percept}\)/statement/situation/query. Imagine if you have an empty knowledge base. Would you be able to draw any inferences? No. Because you don't know anything, your knowledge base is empty, just like a newborn. An \(\bf{Ideology }\) is a set of true statements that you feed into your knowledge base, and then you use these statements to draw inferences for percepts. So the \(\bf{advantage}\) of having an Ideology is pretty clear from the above- it helps you analyze different percepts/situations and draw inferences. But imagine having a bad-ideology. Imagine believing that \(2 \ne 2\) is true. Can you see the problem here? Having such an Ideology will Toast you up :-) A bad ideology might clash and contradict some other ideology that you may have! You won't be able to draw inferences, or you'll draw wrong inferences. And that is the \(\bf{disadvantage}\) .

XLynx:

Advantages: It could be an idea that could be changing. Disadvantages: It could be a corrupt idea and ruin people.
