i might be playing violin next year, any tips?

I mean during my 5 month tie period of playing a violin i used a music stand to practice with for sum proper posture.

i have terrible posture ;O;

Really focus on learning scales, if you go on to play any other musical instruments knowing scales will be incredibly helpful to you.

1: Make sure you're standing straight and have a straight back.
2: You must practice everyday to get better.
3: You must also learn to endure the pain in your arms.
4: When learning to play make sure you pay very close attention to what the teacher asks you to do.
5: this is one of the hardest but if you work on it, it won't be so hard. When holding the bow make sure you have a nice soft bow arm and your shoulder is relaxed to prevent the violin from making a screeching sound.
6: Don't be afraid to mess up because if you do, you can find out what you're doing wrong and fix it.
anddd 7: Even if you mess up on a note don't stop playing, keep going. <---- [what I mostly do when I mess up on a note]
