It takes 198 cubic centimeters of sand to fill the small cylinder below. If the cylinder is stretched so the height stays the same but the radius is doubled, how much sand is needed to fill the new cylinder?

What's basically happening is r is being doubled, but since it's under the exponent, we're basically get 4x the number, since 2^2 = 4

Does that make sense?

So say the volume of a cylinder is 100. If I were to double the radius, it's volume would now be 400.
