VAEHVAEH:

...

mxddi3:

so you do exactly as number 2 said, the unit rate (constant of proportionality) can be found by doing \[\frac{ y }{ x}\] so, pick a set from the table, and put the y value on top and the x on bottom

VAEHVAEH:

ok

VAEHVAEH:

so i put the y over x how do i solve the problem

mxddi3:

which set did you use?

VAEHVAEH:

6/-3

mxddi3:

\[\frac{ 6 }{ -3 }=?\] what is 6 divided by -3

VAEHVAEH:

-2

mxddi3:

yes. and to double check, you can also use the next point and do -2/1 which is also equal to -2. make sense?

VAEHVAEH:

ok thx
