Ight Gerund phrase:its like a noun made from a verb root plus ing,and it acts like a noun, and can act as a subject Participle phrase:a group of dem words that have a participle and the modifier,sum pro nouns,noun phrases,etc Appositive phrase:grammatical construction in which two elements, normally noun phrases, are placed side(I got this one from google) Verb phrase:A sentence that is just a verb or a direct object i dont think they can ever be a subject tho.
