ivanovsa:

Find the dimensions of a rectangle with area 343 m2 whose perimeter is as small as possible. (If both values are the same number, enter it into both blanks.)

Mercury:

for rectangles, perimeter is minimized when the side lengths are equal (in other words, when it's a square. a square is also a type of rectangle) let's let the side length of this square = s area = s^2 = 343 solve for s. this will be both your length and your width.
