marshae:

Caroline works in Shelley’s store. She earns $36 for a 4-hour shift. If she works for 7 hours, how much can Caroline expect to earn?

MiraAngel:

Okay so she earns 36$ for 4 hour shifts. She would already earn $36 for the first 4 hours of the 7 she was working for. You would take 7-4 which would be 3 So you would take 36/4 which would be 9 so you know she basically earns 9 for each hour in her 4 hour shifts. You would then take 9 times 3 for the three extra hours for the total she spent working. You would get 9*3= 27 You would then take the total for the four hour shift amount which is 36 and you would add it to the extra three hours which is 27 36+27=63 In total she earned 63 in those 7 hours.

marshae:

thank you so much

MiraAngel:
