Trade forced people from other regions to give up their own culture. Culture was a big thing in the medieval world, and it was very difficult for foreign powers to push their culture on the people of the land they acquired, so this one is definitely not right. Trade required non-Muslims to convert to Islam. Religion was also very difficult to change/push. Also, Muslims were discriminated against by Catholic countries, so this one doesn't fit as a correct answer either. Your best bet is to go with the other three. I try the process of elimination with questions like these.
