Can systems of equations with different slopes and different y intercepts have more than one solution

darkknight:

If a system of equations have different slopes, they will eventually intersect once. Since these are linear this means that they are a straight line, so they can never intersect twice. So your answer is that it is not possible for a system of equations with different slopes to have more than one solution, the y-intercept doesn't matter in this case. Also go onto desmos and graph functions with different slopes and see if they ever intersect twice.
