B is wrong because a colon was used in the middle of a sentence, it should've kept going without an interruption or pause.

C is also wrong because of the same reason.

A is a possible correct choice, the question doesn't specify whether or not multiple choices could be correct.

D could be a possible answer choice as well except for the fact that it should be a semi colon instead of a colon. (I could be wrong here.)

E lacks context and should provide more in the sentence, and then add either a semi colon or a colon. Plus the needed quotation marks.
