The by the book way is to find two points on the graph then input them into: \[m = \frac{ y_{2} - y_{1} }{ x_{2} - x_{1} }\] to find the slope. Then we see the line crosses the y axis at 4, so it's y = mx + 4

Shadow:

But if you look at the graph, you can see that it intersected the x axis at -3, after that, the graph rose by 4 units, then ran by 3 units, making the slope (rise/run) 4/3
