Bro,the answer would be B due to in the question it states "He’s studying the history of this language to determine how its complex grammar evolved from other languages." and the definition of "Cultural History" is the studying and examining the events and aspects related to specific human communities during the time this includes traditions, language, myths, and others.So he is in fact studying the culture/ language of cultural history he may or may not belong to.
