How did the Constitution overcome the weaknesses of the Articles of Confederation? The new plan of government centralized power heavily into a single entity. The new plan of government had a strong centralized government but protected state autonomy and rights. The new plan of government weakened the central government and provided states more control. The new plan of government centralized power and left the states to determine their own role.
help pls
idk
ok so i'm assuming you have had a history class and you've learned about what caused the writing of the AoC, so we know that the Articles were written to unify the States. However, there was not much power enlisted to the "government". Some of the weaknesses include having no central leadership (executive branch) Congress having no power to enforce its laws. Congress had no power to tax or regulate trade in the states No national court system after this the constitution was written and it gave the government more power. From this we can eliminate options A and D. do you think it could be B or C? and why do you think that?
Good job Maddie

The new method of government centralized authority in the federal government at the responsibility of the states authority's. The innovative plan of administration had powerful centralized management but maintained state autonomy and preferences. The new plan of administration distributed power evenly among the central government and the states.
so we have b. The new plan of government had a strong centralized government but protected state autonomy and rights. c. The new plan of government weakened the central government and provided states more control. while both of these could be correct, one of them is a better option. The constitution gave the states sovereignty. This means they were free of being controlled, like how they were controlled before the Declaration of Independence. (hint) the constitution includes the bill of rights, which is there to PROTECT THEIR RIGHTS (hint) this is like consent of the governed--they are giving up some of their rights as long as they are guaranteed protection (HINT!!!) by the Constitution
