Which of the following is one way the U.S. Constitution expanded the power of the central government?
Creation of a judicial branch Creation of a national bank Creation of the Electoral College Creation of the Monroe Doctrine
At the time the Constitution was written, individual state governments were more powerful than the new nation’s central government. That balance of power quickly changed over the years, as the federal government expanded and took an increasingly dominant role.
huh Thanks
The three branches of the U.S. government are the legislative, executive and judicial branches. According to the doctrine of separation of powers, the U.S. Constitution distributed the power of the federal government among these three branches, and built a system of checks and balances to ensure that no one branch could become too powerful.
Although the constitution is to protect the right of individuals and limit the power of government it led to more government power so that it can accomplish its goals. Eventually the Civil war established the federal government’s power over the states.
So this should be the electoral college?
