There was evil in some city (forgot the name) and god was gonna bring a a ocean of water upon them to flush (kill) all that evil that consisted of bad men and women plus children,and only those who lisened to noah when he said we need to build a arch thats what god says survived,I think god wanted to tests noahs faith in him so he made noah build the boat-gather ppl-gather animals etc (Sunday Church really comes in handy yo)
